Fire Protection Systems Installation at City Mall Shopping Center, Balti

Protectie SRL successfully completed a comprehensive fire protection systems installation and commissioning project at City Mall Shopping Center in Balti, Republic of Moldova, covering both the commercial premises and the underground parking facility.

The project included the supply of fire protection equipment, installation of automatic water-based fire suppression systems, a fire pump station, fire protection piping networks, fire detection and alarm systems, and fire warning systems.

The scope of work also included equipment automation, system configuration, testing, commissioning, and final operational verification.

Particular emphasis was placed on the automatic fire sprinkler system, designed to provide effective fire protection for the shopping center and underground parking areas.

Installed Fire Protection Systems and Equipment

1. Fire Pump Station

A fire pump station was installed to supply water to the automatic fire suppression system. The station includes:

• Two vertical fire pumps, each rated at 30 kW.

• A jockey pump to maintain the required system pressure.

• An automatic pump control and monitoring system.

The fire pump station is designed to maintain the water pressure and flow required for the operation of the automatic sprinkler fire suppression system.

2. Sprinkler Alarm Valve and Control Assemblies

Fire sprinkler control valve assemblies were installed for the shopping center and underground parking facility.

These assemblies provide control and monitoring of the water supply to the protected areas.

3. Automatic Fire Sprinkler System

An automatic water-based fire sprinkler system was installed to protect the commercial areas and underground parking facility.

The system is designed to activate individual sprinklers when exposed to elevated temperatures, helping to control fires and limit their spread.

4. Fire Protection Piping and Support Systems

A fire protection piping network was installed, including pipe connections, mounting brackets, hangers, and support structures required for reliable water distribution throughout the protected premises.

5. Shut-Off and Control Valves

Shut-off valves, control valves, and other necessary fittings were installed to regulate water flow and facilitate the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the fire protection system.

6. Automatic Fire Detection and Alarm System

An automatic fire detection and alarm system was installed to identify potential fire conditions and transmit alarm signals for timely emergency response.

7. Fire Alarm Notification and Warning System

A fire alarm notification system was installed to provide timely warnings to shopping center visitors and staff in the event of a fire emergency.
