Fire Sprinkler Systems and Fire Protection Installation at PORT MALL Chisinau

Protectie SRL successfully completed a comprehensive project involving the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems at PORT MALL Shopping and Entertainment Center in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.

PORT MALL is one of Moldova's largest shopping and entertainment centers, with a total area of approximately 41,000 m² distributed across four retail levels.

The scale of the facility, its numerous retail spaces, and areas accessible to visitors require comprehensive fire safety measures, early fire detection, and effective protection of people and property.

As part of the project, Protectie SRL specialists installed automatic water-based fire sprinkler systems, wet pipe sprinkler control valve assemblies, fire protection piping networks, automatic fire detection and alarm systems, and smoke extraction systems.

Following installation, equipment configuration, functional testing, integrated system verification, and final commissioning were completed before the fire protection systems were handed over for operation.

Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems at PORT MALL

One of the main components of the project was the installation of an automatic water-based fire sprinkler system designed to protect retail spaces and other areas specified in the fire protection design.

Automatic fire sprinkler systems are designed to activate when the temperature at an individual sprinkler head reaches its rated activation threshold.

When activated, the sprinkler releases water into the affected area, helping control the fire and limit its spread.
